All her life, Meleah has found herself taking on new creative endeavors. Whether it's jewelry-making, scrapbooking, or painting faux finishes on anything she can get her hands on, she continues to add to her creative repertoire with every new idea. It's just this kind of creative passion that made custom stationery design a natural enterprise.

Meleah's experience as a special events coordinator with Sealand Events taught her the importance of attention to the unique details of every event, something she continues to draw from in her design approach.

With C'est La Vie Stationery, Meleah builds on a philosophy of individuality.

Each design is developed to brand an event with the personal style of the host, whether it's with a unique pattern, a custom monogram, or a simple motif.

"Customizing is more than just picking a template out of some book and changing the ink color. I like to work with my clients to come up with something that's more reflective of them. It's your ideas, your vision. I just make it tangible."

As an event planner, Meleah also learned the importance of working within a monetary frameset. She'll work with any budget to compose designs that will get the most of what you want for the amount you want to pay.

"A lot of people think because we are custom that we are out of their budget. But I work backwards in the budget that they want to spend and give them the options that are within those parameters. By explaining in the consultation what drives cost, I am able to help clients get the most out of their money."

Her design process is simple and fun. Meleah will meet with you to discuss the essence of your event and your vision for the stationery. Together, you choose the unique elements: color palette, textures of paper, inks and printing techniques, and any embellishment materials. Meleah will create 5-7 custom prototypes as a base group for you to choose or revise. In the end, you'll get exactly the design you want that captures the spirit of your celebration.
